Bigger Than Basketball – M.A.C. Senior All-Star Game

What is Bigger Than Basketball?

Bigger Than Basketball’s purpose is to raise funds and awareness of Mental Health and Mental Illness through our involvement in the basketball community. This will happen in a few ways, firstly, we will be hosting two basketball camps and two grade 12 all-star games, completely volunteer-run, where all registration and admission fees will be donated to the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Second, we will be speaking at length with all campers, all-stars, attendees, and local coaches about mental health, and what they can do to improve to make changes in their personal lives and in the basketball community. Our hope is that this event will erase the stigma surrounding mental health, especially in the basketball community, and that parents, player, and coaches alike will be better equipped to provide support to those who need it.

The M.A.C. Senior All-Star Game will include Seniors from Mission-Abbotsford-Chilliwack. The Abbotsford Basketball Association is excited

to host the players for the first annual Bigger Than Basketball.
